about 2 days ago my pet cat died :( he was my best friend. i was actually sleeping on the couch one night about 3 years ago, may first. and my cat who was pregnant at the time laid on tummy. i woke up at around 3 in the morning to screaming kitten on my blanket and my cat giving labor to another one. it was discusting. we kept two of the kittens, a girl(lucy) and a boy(fathead) lucy was killed by a crazy ex bf of mine:( so all that was left was fatty and mama kitty. ever since lucy was killed i would make sure the cats were inside every night or i would not sleep. fatty slept with me everynight and he always knew when i was sad. but last sunday morning i woke up for church and fatty was sleeping next to me.. when i got home from church i noticed he was still in the same place. so i checked on him, and he was very sick,i soon found out his liver shutdown, and he was filled up with poison..:( while i was at school, they put him down. ive cried my self to sleep every night so far, because i knew fatty knew he was sick and if he were gonna die he wanted to be with me.. i dont think i mentioned that i never really liked cats before i met fatty. i really think getting my mind off him by getting a small pet would help. but i wouldnt know what to get if i tried. im to sad to really thinkabout it myself. help please?

Well I know a dog would be to much right now but they make great companions.
you can get another cat if you like, try a farm or the shelter.
You can get a hamster, Guinea pig, Rat, Mouse they don't need a lot of time just once a week change there beds, you will have to make sure they had food but isn't that hard.
But I would say it sounds like you might need a small dog, not a puppy, but an adult dog that knows how to use the rest room out doors and is already trained, that is what I would do, But sorry to hear about your cat, at least he isn't suffering now.

cats are very loyal and clean creatures, but if you want a easy clean-up pet i would say a fish, seriously! i love my fish!
