Breed? AQHA Coat color? solid bay Registered? yes - AQHA Purebred? yes Breed? haven't we done this before? Shows? yes Funniest think (s)he has done? plenty Dumbest thing (s)he has done? plenty Smartest thing (s)he was done? not so much. haha. You favorite thing to do with him or her? Show Pictures? http://s629.photobucket.com/albums/uu17/LopeSlow/?action=view¤t=ZipHUS.jpg, http://s629.photobucket.com/albums/uu17/LopeSlow/?action=view¤t=2009StateHorseShow017-1.jpg (also my profile pic) Video's? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmVEyzdYfN8 (mostly English, and older stuff); http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QWBD-5_eOk...er, not his best work. Not enough riding, footing was bad. But it's the only one I've got at the moment. Rescue? nope What's his or her story? Don't really know much about him when he was young, my trainer first saw him a year before he bought him but he had strangles so he didn't buy him. He bought him as a four year old, immediately sold him but kept him in training. The new owner then found out he needed surgery and sold him, my trainer told me about him and I bought him as a 4 year old, barely broke. He's about to be 7. Breed? 3/4 Arabian, 1/4 Saddlebred Coat color? pinto (chestnut tobiano) Registered? yes, as a half-Arabian with the Arabian Horse Association Purebred? no--though technically he's a "purebred" National Show Horse, but since a NSH is a cross of two different breeds, I don't think that counts. Breed? ... Shows? hasn't since 2008 but used to do quite a bit Funniest think (s)he has done? don't know Dumbest thing (s)he has done? don't know Smartest thing (s)he was done? he's too smart for his own good You favorite thing to do with him or her? Jumpers Pictures? http://s629.photobucket.com/albums/uu17/LopeSlow/?action=view¤t=l_11bfb6df9d41e3ce719dbe4de27b27-1.jpg Video's? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wREQAVL7uOg <--our last time showing, Sept. 2008. And me getting dumped...nice. Rescue? no What's his or her story? bought hiim as a 2 year old (almost 3) from some friends who bred/raised/trained/showed Arabians, intended to be a (mostly trail) horse for my mother (he's a terrible trail horse). My horse was older and went lame, so I "borrowed" Vally...ten years ago. After about six months, I sold my older horse to a woman who wanted a babysitter and kept working with Vally. We got disqualified from more classes than anything in the beginning but eventually showed the Arabian circuit very successfully, did very well in jumpers, and won a regional championship in 2006. After that I quit showing him regularly and started doing AQHA, and I haven't shown him at all since 2008.

Thoroughbred, named Hank 16.3h Dark bay, with a snip Yes he's registered! He's a purebred Haha you asked breed twice... Shows dressage and equitation, some hunters The first time we went on the beach he wasn't used to the sand so he was picking up his feet SUPER high like he didn't want to touch the ground and he was nickering and smelling the air and making funny faces, it was adorable! Riding in the arena we went over a small vertical, he missed the lead and got mad or something so he started bucking and rearing like crazy! (yes, sadly, I got dumped) I had him in the round pen and miraculously got him to do flying lead changes close to every 3 strides! It was so great!! Lots but none on the internet I don't think... He was a racehorse when he was about three, won 2 out of his first 3 races, got noticed because he won his first race by about ten strides so these people offered $78,000 for him. Sadly, he got a skin infection because of something in his bedding, and was going to be out for 3 months. So the people took back their offer, and he was sold for only $8,000 to a trainer. She rehabilitated him and trained him to be a dressage horse. I got him about a year ago, he's 7 now, and have been training him to jump! We only jump about 3' now but he has SOO much potential, I'm incredible proud.

Breed: Welsh Cob Coat color: Bay Registered: Yes Purebred: Yes Gender: Gelding Shows: Welsh shows Funniest thing he has ever done: Drunk out of my water bottle Dumbest thing he as ever done: climb through electric fence Smartest thing he has ever done: Opened a gate to eat fresh grass My favorite thing to do with him: Ride bareback Videos: none Pictures: none on the internet Rescue: no Story: He was bred at the farm and was sold at the age 2.5 to a western ranch. He came 6 months later starved and abused. He slowly gained weight but I think his growth was a bit stunted because of his malnutrition. He was insane to ride but had a sweet, forgiving personality-he actually trusted humans quickly again. So I rrrrrreeeeeeeeeeally wanted a horse so I had been looking all over sales websites. I was at my stable going to catch the pony I was riding and I saw him. He watched me. I thought he was the prettiest horse I'd ever seen(by now he had gained some weight). So after riding I went on the computer and looked at my stables website to see he was for sale for $7000. I went out and tried him out the next week and bought him. No one else ever wanted to ride him because he would gallop around the arena full speed. The first time I brought him in from the field and tacked him up, I already loved him. When I rode him I loved his gates and everything even though he almost ran over my riding instructor. I felt something in him that made me buy him. He could do walk trot and sort of canter, it was more like a gallop. He could do small x-rails. Now, two years later he is doing 3'6 oxers and i am starting him bitless when i bring him back into work.

I'll tell you about my baby boy first:0 Belgian WB/TB cross I really don't know what he's gonna be right now. He's currently the color of very burnt toast. Registered with the BWP, or at least, he will be when I scrape the money together. Not purebred. He's only 9 months, so no shows yet, but this summer I'm hoping to hit the shows with him in-hand. He lays down with his feet resting on the bottom board of our fence. He used to consistently flip his grain bowl over, and then couldn't figure out how to get to his grain. He used to undo the latch on our gate and let everyone loose, until I put a pony-proofed it with a bullsnap. I love to go on walks with him. He's very good company. It's also fun to play with his mouth. He likes to lick my hands. Don't have a way to put picture or video on the internet:( Only kind of a rescue. He had a good home but the woman lost her job when he was 7wks old and couldn't keep him and his mom, so they had a good shot of ending up at auction. Now I'll tell you about my oldster. Breeding Stock Paint Chestnut with some light roaning. Yep, she's registered. Yep, purebred. Looks like she should be part welsh though:) We used to kick but at the local jumper shows in the 3'-3'6" division, but she's retired now. We were going over a CC jump made of haybales, and while we were in the air, she stuck her head between her legs and grabbed a mouthful of hay. She didn't slow down at all. It was amazing. I'm really not sure I'd classify anything she's done as stupid. There's always a point to what she does whether I like it or not. If I had to choose though, it would be the time when she got jealous of the other horses we were riding with getting to gallop (she just couldn't wait her turn), so she quite merrily pranced off at a full on gallop across an 80 acre field. She stopped just fine, but it was quite the wild ride. It wasn't ill spirited or even really that much of bad behavior. She just wanted some excitement. Back in the day, when I was using her in 4-H, I was doing poles with her at the fair. Evidently, she knew what she was doing, because she weaved through those poles like a pro, without any say-so from me. I love her so much. She's a handful, but she's incredible. Rescue. Nope. She had some very serious behavioral issues when I got her, but she wasn't neglected or unloved. She came from a HS girl going to college. She'd been a pay-to-ride trailhorse for long while before that girl had her so she'd done some packing and riding in the mountains. She's a cool horse.

Rollovere this question Kendall: Quarter Horse Sorrel Dun She.... always runs away when i fall off even if im just barely falling of she shoots out around the corner so i go flying and runs away dumbest thing... i was on a trail ride i jumped a log and she ran away about 1 mile up a hill luckily i had friends with me Smartest thing: she plays fetch... she shows the bigger horses whos boss (shes 14.1 hands so) I love to jump her (: http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs156.snc3/18347_1261660154553_1621177866_658104_5471323_n.jpg http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs423.ash1/23432_1276439564029_1621177866_686229_4050644_n.jpg http://www.youtube.com/user/animalluver153?feature=mhw4 Kendall was rescued she was at a barn named cloverleaf the lady there is very stubborn! if the horse does one thing wrong she immediatly thinks slaughter. Um Kendall was the smallest one there she was easily picked on this lady was retarded and didn't ever call the vet for any of her horses most are overworked. Linda (my trainer) has rescued all her horses and owns a small ranch where kendall stays. Kendall was never on the "higher level of popularity" she was known to buck, kick, bite, anything she could do to defend herself. She was badly abused cuts, scares, everywhere. Linda had worked part time at clover leaf for not very long at all and when she heard Kendall was going to slaughter she wanted to give her a second chance.

Rosie is an Appaloosa! She has a gorgeous Red Roan Coat! She is unfortunately unregistered, I'm fairly sure shes purebred though! She is trained for western and we are going to do Barrels together. The first time I rode her, which was last Sunday (I haven't gotten her yet! :(() She pushed her head into my tummy and kinda rubbed it. I call it a hug lol. I love doing the barrel pattern on her in a fast trot or slow canter. I have a picture but its on her sale ad: http://houston.craigslist.org/grd/1631083424.html and on the sale ad there is a video- www.jdsperformancehorses.com/rosie Her story? Her former owner got her and she was VERY VERY beginner. Little Rosie was a tad bit TOO MUCH for her riding skills. So she had to put her beloved horse up for sale :( But! Now I have Rosie!! :D *Mikayla*

Breed? Quarter horse/Paint/Pinto mare Coat color? Sorrel Rabicano Registered? Yep AQHA/APHA/PtHA Purebred? Yep (2 AQHA parents) Breed?-stated above, quarter horse/paint/pinto Shows?-APHA adn AQHA breed shows every weekend, world this summer in pinto and paint Funniest think (s)he has done?-Everything! Her little quirks are hilarious. Dumbest thing (s)he has done?-Nothing so far that is pure stupidity and not caused by a human Smartest thing (s)he was done?-Learned an incredibly hard lesson in about 5 minutes You favorite thing to do with him or her?-show western all around (western pleasure, trail, horsemanship, showmanship) Pictures?-http://circlemtrainingcenter.com/images/DEEc.jpg (age 8 with her old owner) http://www.horseridinglessonskansascity.com/images/IMG_0097w.JPG (age 10 with me winning high point 14-18 all around) Video's?-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TU9KbPnT6nE (a couple months ago, I've only owned her for a year) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_I93csykrA&feature=related (a little over a year ago when I rode her for the first time) Rescue?-Not officially What's his or her story?-She was mistreated by previous owners, and had been passed around the country. She would bolt, buck, rear, and swing her head after 2 strides at the lope both at home and at a show. I have had to ride her everyday and train her to stop this, and get her massages to improve her overall muscle health due to being overworked for 8 years. In this way you could say she is a rescue, however she was never abused in the traditional way or starved, etc. She only knew how to go around on the rail under saddle, and do showmanship. I had to teach her everything about patterns, trail, riding outside, etc. I have turned her back into a real horse that can show and win vs. a machine that shows in horse shows.
