He should be fine! Don't worry my dog does stuff like this all the time and he's fine!

Call the vet or emergency pet #. Depending on how big the dog is, it could react differently. It he's big, he should be okay. You cod give him something so he throws up, but u wouldn't do that. Small dogs are another issue...

Chocolate is proven to be very dangerous for dogs. You might consider taking him to the vet tomorrow morning if you aren't able to take him there right away.

It should be fine depending the size of the dog. As long as it doesn't happen again. But accidents happen :) if he/she starts to have any medical trouble I would see the vet asap

What kind of dog is it? How large?
Ok so my dog is a pug/terrior mix and he is a medium to small sized dog and he eats chocolate stuff all the time. I dont purposley feed it to him. I mean sometimes hell get some of my old chocolate candy out of the trash. I have seen him eat like 2 pints of choco ice cream before (i think it was rocky road actually) and he was fine. He didnt even get sick. I was worried the first time. But if your dog is extremely small breed of dog then you should definatley try and make it throw up. I dont know what else to do if your dog has never had expierience with chocolate then we dont know what will happen to him/her. Good luck!!!

It was ice cream, mostly milk with milk chocolate flavoring. If my 5lb dog ate a gallon, I'd be worried, one scoop, 1 scoop, relax, not enough of the bad stuff to do any damage.

A single scoop is not going to contain enough actual chocolate to cause harm. At most it may vomit a little or have a loose stool once or twice, but not life threatening.
