My dog recently bit my sister whose 12. She was tormenting him while he was sleeping, my dog was in a deep sleep and when he woke up he bit her in the cheek. I'm pretty sure it was because he was scared when he awoke. I paid over half for the 600 $ dog, but my mom says he has to go. I've taken care of him since he was a puppy and he's three now, so what should I do to keep him?

It's your sister's fault and she has only herself to blame! Point that out.

Your sister is worth more on the open market and since she caused the problem, I think you should sell her instead.

your sister provoked the pup. out of instinct, dogs will strike if cornered, abruptly awoke, or harassed.
if you must get rid of her, please contact a foster facility or try to put her up for adoption. please do not bring her to a shelter or put her to sleep.

Tough question, I wish there was an easy answer... Perhaps if you offered to build him a separate space to stay outdoors or in your room? What sort of dog is it? How old are you? Any friend who could take it?
